(October 17, 2020) – One of the largest owners of data, the Department of Defense, known for its steadfast protective oversight of this digital gold, embarked on a historical first this year. A first with the ability to improve the effectiveness, agility, affordability and speed of operations for a myriad of stakeholders. The unprecedented idea started at another new DoD venture located in the heart of academia. Members of the USAF-MIT Artificial Intelligence Accelerator, a new unit under the Department of the Air Force, located at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, tackle some of the most difficult challenges facing our nation, Air and Space Forces.

  • Blacksnakes Commander Promoted to Chief of Staff

    FORT WAYNE AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Ind. – Following the announcement of senior leader position changes in the Indiana Air National Guard, Indiana National Guard Adjutant General, Maj. Gen. Courtney P. Carr, has promoted Col. Patrick “Rude Dog” Renwick, 122nd Fighter Wing Commander, to the rank of Brigadier General, Wednesday, 11 April 2018. Renwick will now serve as Chief of Staff, Indiana Air National Guard, at Joint Forces Headquarters, Indianapolis, Ind.
  • Blacksnakes take joint training to new heights

    More than 200 Airmen and ten A-10C aircraft from the 122nd Fighter Wing recently completed Operation Guardian Blitz, a two-week joint training exercise at MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida, which included air-to-air refueling, training alongside Navy rotary assets and Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTACs).
