Why did my daughter/son get kicked out of DEERS?

Reached age 21. Can be re-enrolled in DEERs with official enrollment letter from college attending.
How old does my child have to be to get an ID?

Per AFI guidance your child is eligible for a dependent ID at the age of 10.
How do I enroll in Tricare?

Call 1-800-538-9552 or go online to MilConnect through portal (DS Logon).
After I add a family member into DEERs do I have to do anything else?

Yes, go through MilConnect or call Tricare at 1-800-538-9552 to enroll in health care coverage.
What documentation is needed to enroll my spouse into DEERS?

Sponsors SSN, Spouses Birth Certificate, Social Security Card, Driver’s License and Marriage Certificate.
What documentation is needed to enroll my child into DEERS?

Birth Certificate and Social Security Card
What documentation is needed to obtain a new or updated ID card?

Two forms of ID that are not expired (one being photo ID and other being a Social Security Card, DOD ID, etc.)
What happens if I lost my CAC?

If member is from this unit, member needs to visit Security Forces and fill out proper documentation. If not from this unit member needs to contact their unit or local police department to report it lost and provide the police report documentation when creating ID.
When do I receive A INDEF ID (Medical part)?

Sponsors receive INDEF card at age 65.
When do I receive A INDEF ID (ID Card Itself)?

Technician and DSG members receive INDEF card at age 65, Spouse receives at 75.

AGR and Active Duty members receive INDEF card at retirement, Spouse receives at 75.
How do I qualify for a retired ID card?

Must have completed 20 good years of service shown on your dd214 or 100% medically disabled.
How soon can I come and update my ID card?

Within 30 days of expiration date
I am not currently a member of your Unit and need a copy of my dd214.

What age is my child no longer eligible for benefits under me?

Child reached age 21 and not enrolled in college

Child reached age 23 and not enrolled and paying for Tricare Young Adult

When can I enroll myself and or dependents in dental insurance and when will their coverage start?

Enrollment period is November 12 – December 10 2018. Coverage will take effect January 1 2019.
