Colonel Scott T. Boatright

Colonel Scott T. Boatright is the commander of the 122nd Fighter Wing, Fort Wayne Air National Guard Base, Indiana. He organizes, trains, and equips professional Airman, providing decisive F-16 Fighting Falcon firepower and agile combat support to combatant commanders worldwide. He formulates plans and policies for flying operations, while coordinating requirements at the local, state and national levels.

Col. Boatright initially entered service when he enlisted in the Missouri Air National Guard in 1996 serving as a maintenance member for the 131st Fighter Wing in St. Louis, Missouri. He transferred to the Indiana Air National Guard in 2001 and earned his commission in 2002. Col. Boatright attended Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training and began his career flying F-16s in the 113th Fighter Squadron, Terre Haute, Indiana. His assignments include various leadership roles and instructor pilot duties at the 181st Fighter Wing, Terre Haute, Indiana, 122d Fighter Wing, Fort Wayne, Indiana, 131st Bomb Wing, Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri and 618th Air Operations Center, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Prior to his current position, Col. Boatright was the commander of the 122nd Operations Group.

Col. Boatright is a command pilot with over 2,500 hours in the F-16C and A-10C. He has more than 400 combat hours flown during 105 sorties. He deployed in support of Operations IRAQI FREEDOM, ENDURING FREEDOM, and INHERENT RESOLVE.
