Fort Wayne ANGB, IN - The 122nd Fighter Wing hosted the Fort Wayne Air Show
over Labor Day weekend 2012. The air show was supported by many businesses
and partners from our community. One such contributor to the air show was
Derek Devine and John Cuneo Business partners of Punch Films of Fort Wayne.
Punch Films designed and filmed an on air advertisement for the air show
that received the coveted Large Show first place award for Commercial
Television Division of the Marketing Competition at the 2012 International
Council of Air Shows (ICAS) convention. Punch films donated the award
winning commercial to the Fort Wayne Air Show. The commercial ran courtesy
of Punch Films and a donation by The Indiana News Center prior to and during
the air show as well as getting a spot during the 2012 summer Olympics.

Punch Films, 211 W. Wayne Street, Fort Wayne, IN, (260) 740-6851, gathered
the idea for the commercial after talking with the 122nd Fighter Wing's Air
Show Director and Strategic Plans Officer, Lt. Col. Brian Frazier. Frazier
shared that he had to travel to another state to provide his son the
experience of an air show and how he hoped that by providing the Fort Wayne
Air Show to Fort Wayne that many children could, for the first time,
experience the thrill of flight. The commercial perfectly captured his
sentiment in sharing the imagination of a child and the thrill of the Fort
Wayne Air Show.

The ICAS Marketing Competition is intended to do two things: recognize
outstanding achievement in event, product and service promotion by air
shows, air show performers and air show support service providers and to
expose our members to the wide spectrum of creative ideas that have proven
successful to their peers. The Competition is an opportunity to let the rest
of the industry see what you've done and an opportunity for you to see how
your efforts measure up against those of your colleagues.

The International Council of Air Shows held its first convention in 1967.
Since then, the air show community has gathered every year to exchange
ideas, conduct business and begin the process of planning the upcoming air
show season. This year, the ICAS Convention was held on December 10-13 at
the Paris Las Vegas Hotel in Las Vegas. ICAS registered between 1,500 and
1,600 air show professionals in attendance at the 2012 ICAS Convention.
